Rules & Regulations
Club Day Entries
ALL entries are to be received by 9am on any given race day. Late entries, those being received after 9am (if accepted), will result in the driver starting from the rear of the grid in ALL races for that day. Licence Renewals No licence renewals will be done from the Wednesday before a race meeting. Please see Sharon for more information. Underage & Unlicensed Drivers and Using Engines that they are not eligible
This is NOT permitted at any time as it contravenes AKA regulations and insurance!
If an underage or unlicensed driver drives on the track, everybody’s insurance is null and void. This means if there is an incident where someone is injured, there is no insurance coverage for anyone and the Club is then open to all sorts of legal litigation. This also exposes the Club and the Club’s licence – we could find ourselves without a track on which to race and practice!
Karters using our track in engines that they are NOT eligible to use or licenced for will not be covered by insurance either!
It would be a shame if we had to revert to the system currently used in other states whereby members pay per practice session and sign in. This would mean the employment of a full time caretaker/supervisor for our Club and the removal of all gate keys and free access to the Bairnsdale Kart Club track. Drivers would then be limited to practice on set days and at set times, something I’m sure none of us want to see happen! (VKA)

13.02 (2) Recognised Licences
The AKA currently issue Licences for the following Divisions:-
Midget (13.16.1 – aged from their 7th birthday until their 11th birthday) Rookie (13.16.2 – aged from their 9th birthday until the end of the calendar year of their 13th birthday. Refer 13.21.2(a)) Juniors (13.16.3 – aged from their 12th birthday until their 16th birthday) Seniors (13.16.4 – aged 16 and over) International
