Text Box: The Bairnsdale Kart Club is located 270 kilometres east of Melbourne alongside the Bairnsdale Aerodrome. The Club was formed around 1986 and from its beginnings, it ran its race meetings on the Bairnsdale Drag Strip but with continued growth of the Club over a few short years, it moved to its current location in 1992. The Club currently has over 100 members actively racing with a large number of social and family members as well. Good size fields in all Classes are common at our ten Club Days held around the last Sunday of the month. An annual Open Meeting draws a great number of entries from various clubs about the State and we’ve also recently re-established two Inter-Club Meetings a year with the Gippsland Kart Club, which provides our drivers with a great opportunity to race against other competitors and under different race conditions too!
